Encouragement is pouring in from Suffolk’s key political figures as pupils receive their A-level results.

The anticipation is over for pupils and parents as they overflow schools and sixth forms across the county this morning to receive their A-Level, T-Level and BTEC results.

Key political figures from across the county have issued words of encouragement to pupils for the next step in their education.

Cllr Andrew Reid, the county council’s lead on education and SEND, said: “Well done to all students receiving their A-level results today. You have worked hard and I hope today’s results will enable you to take the next step in your education career.

“A huge thank you also to the teachers and staff who have supported pupils throughout their school careers.”

Statements were also issued by the county’s new MPs on their social media.

Yesterday, Lowestoft’s Jess Asato, said: “Best of luck to those getting their results tomorrow.

“Whatever happens, you should be really proud.”

Ipswich MP, Jack Abbott, also said: “Good luck to everyone in Ipswich and across the country who is receiving A-Level, T-Level and BTEC results today. I hope you get the results your efforts deserve.

“Remember, whatever your results, you should be proud of all of your hard work and excited for what comes next.”

In Suffolk Coastal, Jenny Riddell-Carpenter, added: “Best of luck to all students receiving their A-level results today – whatever your results, this is a huge achievement and real milestone. You made it.

“Well done for getting through GCSEs and A-levels (during the COVID years especially) and good luck with whatever comes next. I hope you have a chance to celebrate and surround yourself with loved ones.”

Suffolk’s most experienced MP, and the only one to be re-elected last month, James Cartlidge, said: “Good luck to all the students in South Suffolk receiving their exam results today.”

Many also took their time to share some resources for those whose results were not quite what they expected.
