Hadleigh Community Primary School received a donation from Persimmon Homes
Foundation pupils at Hadleigh Community Primary School will have their outdoor learning area transformed this spring.
This follows a £4,000 donation from Persimmon Homes.
The school applied for funding through the Community Champions scheme.
The scheme aims to create a 'lasting legacy' in areas where Persimmon Homes builds.
James Cartlidge, MP for South Suffolk, attended the cheque presentation and celebrated with the pupils.
Gary Pilkington, head teacher of Hadleigh Community Primary School, said: "We would like to thank Persimmon Homes Suffolk for this donation, which will be used to create a high-quality learning space that will allow our Foundation pupils to spend as much time outside as possible.
"We know that being outside brings huge benefits to our children and want to encourage this as much as possible."
Ian Hamilton, managing director for Persimmon Homes Suffolk, said: "Hearing that the school were also working to create an outside place to enhance the children's learning experience we were keen to support them and offer this grant to allow them to complete the project."
