Following the announcement that the Hadleigh branch of Barclays will be closing, I wrote to request a meeting between local businesses and Barclays officials to discuss the impact that this decision will have on their customers. It was a useful meeting with many of their concerns being alleviated by the Barclays team. I was grateful that the meeting was attended by the local postmaster who was able to answer a lot of the questions about alternative banking in the town. It will be a loss to local residents and businesses, but I was pleased that we were able to hold this session.
