Hundreds of card designs were submitted by Suffolk schoolchildren to congratulate King Charles III on his Coronation.

More than 550 pupils showcased their creativity by sending in their entries to the competition, which was organised by South Suffolk MP James Cartlidge.

The winning design, created by nine-year-old Toby, from Kersey Primary School, will be sent on to the King himself.

Mr Cartlidge said: “I was very pleased to receive so many fantastic entries for my King’s Coronation Card Competition from primary schools across South Suffolk. It was clear that a lot of effort had gone in to the designs and I would like to thank all of the pupils who took part. Selecting the winner and runner-up was a difficult but enjoyable task, and I’m very pleased to announce that Toby’s entry from Kersey Primary School has been crowned as the winning design.”
